Marc Jacobs: Clothes in all their dimensions

On Friday, February 2, the runway show for Marc Jacobs' Spring/Summer 2024 collection took place at the Park Avenue Armory in New York, a week before the start of Fashion Week. The show was striking for its unusual scale. Models, resembling dolls, paraded under oversized folding chairs, creating a unique scenography. The clothes, inspired by the sixties, captivated with their play on proportions, adding a dramatic touch to each outfit.

The tracksuits, made from a frothy fabric, seem to float over the models, imposing themselves on their silhouettes. Oversized sweaters, XXL versions of "Tote Bag by Marc Jacobs" and "Venetia" bags from the year 2000 added a unique dimension to the collection. The bold hairstyles, thick black eyeliner and voluminous eyelashes are reminiscent of the iconic Twiggy.

After 40 years in the fashion industry, Marc Jacobs continues to make his presence felt by letting his creations speak for themselves. This vintage-inspired show brillantly highlighted the designer's creative evolution.
